Pirates fans might be skeptical of the team’s chances in 2025, judging by the reaction of some at PiratesFest over the weekend, but Paul Skenes is ready to take charge on the field and off it.
Even while some angry fans demanded that team owner Bob Nutting sell the franchise, Skenes said the players are excited about delivering a winner to Pittsburgh, and he says that will include changing the atmosphere in the Bucs’ clubhouse. Skenes will be more assertive there, too.
Pitchers and catchers report to Bradenton on February 12th.
