The Purchase Line School District has published its state-required Comprehensive Plan for public review and comment. The 108-page document summarizes plans and approaches to the educational mission at Purchase Line. Among the “strengths” the plan lists are the elementary school’s growth in math 100 percent math growth and 79 percent growth in English Language Arts scores, and above average performances in “high school career standards” (95.8 percent) and high school English language Arts (which had 81 percent growth).
“Challenges” noted in the plan include the fourth grade having low growth in math, noting the effects of Covid; high school math was 25.3 percent below the state average; and high school attendance was 70.2 percent, which is below the state average of 78.1 percent.
The public has 28 days from publication to comment on the plan. Those comments can be directed to Superintendent Patricia Berezansky.
