The IUP basketball teams play a doubleheader tonight against UPJ at the KCAC. Both of the Crimson Hawks teams lost their last time out, last Wednesday against Gannon.
Men’s coach Joe Lombardi would rather have been playing games last Saturday than practicing, but he says the team has been working hard since the loss last Wednesday and is growing.
The IUP women are 12-2 and 7-1 in the PSAC. UPJ is 2-14 and 0-9. The Mountain Cats’ roster includes former Marion Center star Lydia Miller, who is averaging 2.9 points per game and has started twice in her freshman year.
The IUP men are 7-8, 3-5 in the PSAC. UPJ comes into the game 8-8 and 4-6.
The action tips off with the women’s game at 5:30. Airtime on 92.5 FM U92 is at 5:15.
