The River Valley Panthers improved their season record to 11-4 by going 5-1 and placing third at the Claysburg-Kimmel Wrestling Dual Tournament on Saturday. The Panthers defeated Meyersdale 42-27, Tussey Mountain 54-10, Claysburg-Kimmel 54-17, and Conemaugh Township 39-35 in their pool. River Valley lost one match in their pool, to Central by a score of 37-36. The Panthers defeated Moshannon Valley in the third place match 39-35.
Leading the way River Valley were Wyatt Taubler, Chris Clawson, Chase Stuchal, and Michael Wano, all going 6-0; Joel Micklow was 5-1; Levi Anthony, Brody Houser, and Tanner Flickinger were all 4-2 on the day.
River Valley returns to action on Wednesday at home for senior night against Cambria Heights.
