Criminal call hearings are on the schedule today at Indiana County Courts.
Among those appearing in court today is Gary C. Baney, Jr. of Blairsville. He is facing charges of strangulation, terroristic threats, two counts of simple assault and harassment for an incident on June 2nd, 2024. Blairsville police did not release full details on the incident, but he was arrested after a warrant was issued by Judge Robert Bell, Sr.
Charges were ordered to proceed to court last month.
Criminal Call is designed to update the court and the parties involved on the progress of a case. Proceedings are usually postponed to a later date, but on occasion, guilty pleas have been entered at the Criminal Call phase.
