Flu continues to be on the rise in Pennsylvania.
According to stats from the week that ended December 28th, 22,659 lab-confirmed cases of influenza were reported by the state Department of Health. This continues a trend where cases are increasing at dramatic rates. 21 people have died from flu this season in Pennsylvania. For RSV, 15,928 laboratory-reported cases have taken place this season so far.
Indiana County has 68 cases of flu reported for the season and six reported RSV cases.
The true numbers could be higher as some areas do not report flu cases, and some people do not head to the doctor’s office and treat flu themselves.
