Along with a noise violation early Wednesday morning, Indiana Borough Police officers report two additional incidents from New Year’s Day.
Both incidents occurred shortly after 3 a.m. The first summoned officers to the 100 block of North 8th Street at 3:19 a.m. for a man attempting to enter a home. Upon investigating, 22-year-old Chad Colson of Pittsburgh was identified as the suspect and police also noticed him under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and cited for public drunkenness through District Judge Tony Sottile’s office.
Then, a one-vehicle crash near 400 South 6th Street was reported around 20 minutes later. Officers say 24-year-old Nassiah Fluellen of Johnstown was under the influence of alcohol to a point where they were unsafe to drive.
Fluellen was arrested and evidence was collected. She was placed in Indiana County Jail to await arraignment. Charges of DUI, criminal mischief, and several summary traffic violations were filed through District Judge Robert Bell, Sr.’s office.
