Monday’s Indiana County Court schedule includes about five dozen formal arraignments conducted by Judge Gina Force. The cases include 16 DUIs, 12 drug cases (eight of them felonies), 11 involving stealing (including robbery and retail thefts), 7 assaults, 4 cases of a sexual nature, and a variety of other offenses.
One of the cases is the formal arraignment of 60-year-old Mary Elizabeth Stuller of Clarksburg, who is charged with attempted criminal homicide and aggravated assault for allegedly hitting a man in the head with a glass pitcher, knocking him to the floor of her kitchen, and then stabbing him five times in the torso while continuing to beat him with the pitcher.
Stuller was later found lying on Clarksburg Road by a passerby and was hospitalized with injuries she said she’d sustained during the altercation.
