The Penguins did not practice yesterday as they hit the road for New York ahead of tomorrow’s matchup with the Islanders. Pittsburgh holds the fourth spot in the Metro with 37 points, two ahead of Columbus and Philadelphia, and four points ahead of both New York teams. The Isles are currently last in the Metro.
After tomorrow’s game, both teams will play in Pittsburgh Sunday night at 5:30. Then, the Penguins end 2024 with a road matchup against Detroit on New Year’s Eve.
Tomorrow’s game airs at 6:30 on U92.5 FM and U92radio.com. Puck drop is at 7:30.
Detroit swapped coaches yesterday, firing Derek Lalonde and replacing him with former Kings coach Todd McLellan. McLellan also coached San Jose and Edmonton.
