Parking restrictions will be in place today for the viewing for Black Lick Fireman and Burrell Township Supervisor Dan Shacreaw, who died last Saturday.
Police anticipate a large number of firefighters, police and EMTs and their vehicles today for the planned first-responders only visitation from 6-8 PM at Shoemaker Funeral Home. To accommodate these vehicles, there will be no parking on North Spring Street from West Campbell to West Market Streets, West Campbell from North Spring to North Walnut Streets, and West North Avenue from North Spring to North Walnut Streets tonight from 4-9 PM. Signs will be posted in those areas.
Friends and family will be received the following day at the funeral home, and there will be a funeral procession on Saturday from Blairsville to the Black Lick fire hall for a funeral service. That procession will head back to Blairsville after the service is over.
