The suspect in the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson is in court.
Luigi Mangione is expected to waive his extradition rights and will return to New York City today. Mangione has been held in a Pennsylvania jail since his arrest earlier this month. Meanwhile, there’s word that the feds may bring their own charges against Mangione.
Mangione’s lawyer, Karen Friedman Agnifilo says her client is overcharged with first degree murder as an act of terrorism and that they are ready to fight charges in whatever court they are brought.
