Indiana ran into trouble against Kiski Area last night at Fifth Street Gym. Jake Slebodnick has the recap.(The Cavaliers won, 68-45.)
Homer-Center edged River Valley, 55-53, as Angelo Alexander scored 17 points and Nash Budner 16. The Wildcats took a two-point lead into halftime and each team scored 16 points in both the third and fourth quarters. Max Persichetti led all scorers with 23 points and the Panthers’ Bryson McDowell added 11.
United’s early-season sprint continued with a 67-36 win over Cambria Heights. Carter Payne led the Lions with his second 17-point game in two nights. Brody Burkett came off the bench to score 12 and Dmitiri Worthington added 11. Stephen Nehlen led the Highlanders with 11.
West Shamokin trounced Purchase Line, 65-35.
