Blairsville Borough Council will consider approving the 2025 budget tonight during the council’s monthly meeting.
The budget approved for advertisement last month came out to $2,466,548, and required a one mill increase due to increases in insurance costs and new contracts for the borough. Related to the borough’s finances, the council will also look to approve a resolution concerning the Tax Anticipation Loan for 2025 to provide money for the borough until the tax money comes in.
Also on the agenda is the resignation of Dave Fairman as the Public Works Manager and a possible $4.00 drought surcharge to go out on the December Municipal Authority water bill.
The meeting starts at 5:30 at the borough chambers.
