A man charged with trying to set fires earlier this year is due in district court today.
This marks the fifth attempted preliminary hearing for 46-year-old Casey Bush of Blairsville. He faces two counts each of attempted arson, possession of explosive or incendiary materials, and single counts of attempted reckless burning or exploding, risking a catastrophe and other crimes for the incident on September 12th in Saltsburg.
Police said that Bush left his former home after a disturbance, and police found spilled paint and diesel fuel along with two overturned diesel fuel cans and several burned and discarded cigarettes. When the police found him in Loyalhanna Township, they found the same color of paint on his clothes and he smelled of diesel fuel.
He is now in Indiana County Jail as he could not post $100,000 cash bail.
