White Township reports that paving will take place on Waterworks Road tomorrow, completing a project necessitated by subsidence last month that damaged the road and threatened the waters of Two Lick Creek.
The work involved stabilization, base restoration, and improved drainage. Bison Construction Company installed dozens of 25-foot tall steel sheets deep into the ground to halt the subsidence that caused cracks and shifting of pavement along a 140-foot stretch of the road just east of Lower Twolick Road.
Waterworks Road serves the Pennsylvania-American Water Company plant and the Waterworks Conservation Area.
