The IUP rugby team has advanced to the National Championship once again with a 20-15 overtime win over the Norwich Cadets.
IUP’s Dominic Holmes was a key part of the Crimson Hawks’ win. He scored two tries in both the first and second halves, and notched the game-winning try at the seven minute mark of the second extra period.
The Crimson Hawks will get the chance to defend their 2023 national title in the championship game tomorrow against the University of Northern Iowa at 2:00 PM Sunday at Aveva Stadium in Houston. This marks the third straight trip to the national finals for IUP.
