Time is running out if you want to see a show at IUP’s Cejka Planetarium.
The final show of the fall semester will take place next Monday, December 16, at 7 p.m. The free show is called “How Many Are There? Planet Nine,” and it centers around the Pluto controversy of 2006, as well as how scientists label planets and recent observations that suggest larger objects located farther from the sun.
Weather permitting, a telescopic observation of the night sky will follow the show that is sponsored by the university’s Department of Anthropology, Geospatial and Earth Sciences, along with the Kopchick College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.
Doors open 15 minutes before the show and seating is limited. Groups wishing to attend should call 724-357-2440 to reserve tickets.
