A Strongstown woman was sentenced yesterday in Indiana County Court for sheltering a Clymer man who was on the run from the law.
41-year-old Becky Davis was ordered to serve one year of probation and pay all applicable fines and court costs for a charge of hindering apprehension or prosecution in connection with an investigation into Randy Bertuzzi. He was wanted on multiple warrants when police found him on April 17th driving in Pine Township. Bertuzzi fled on foot after pulling into a parking lot on Route 422. He was later found at Davis’ home hiding in the attic. Police had to use a taser to subdue him.
Bertuzzi was ordered to serve time in Indiana County Jail for guilty pleas to trespass, simple assault, criminal contempt, resisting arrest, retail theft, DUI-controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
