The Homer Center boys’ basketball team beat Kiski School Friday night, 55-49. Max Voyda lead the team with 30 points, while Alexander Angelo put away 10 points.
River Valley’s boys won their home opener last night with a 71-66 defeat of West Branch. River Valley had four players reach double digits. Jake Pynos led the way with 24 points, followed by Max Persichetti with 15, Bryson McDowell with 14 and Jeremy Reed with 10.
Marion Center lost to Northern Cambria, 51-47. Leading scorers for Marion Center were Noah McCoy with 13 and Cameron Pack with 11. Kamdin Rozier had six points and seven rebounds, and Mason Desmond added eight points and six rebounds. Ian Kutsch also added nine points. For Northern Cambria, Ty Dumm had 21 points, scoring 11 in the 4th quarter. Nate Fry had 10 points and Parker Shuttty had nine.
On the girls’ side, Marion Center routed Northern Cambria, 62-18. Top scorers from Marion Center were Macie Miller with 14 and Brynnley Haggerty with 12.
Indiana was also in top form last night, beating Punxsutawney, 55-17. The Indians knocked down 10 three pointers throughout the game, as Julia Antonacci hit five and Addy Hutton knocked down three, while Laken Kugler and Samantha Martin each had one. Antonacci led all scorers on the evening with 19 points, a career-high.
