An Indiana man was sentenced in federal court on Thursday for charges related to trafficking fentanyl and methamphetamine.
U.S. Attorney Eric Olshan says 26-year-old Jacob Robert Kelly was ordered to serve 46 months in prison along with three years of supervised release for violating federal narcotics laws. Kelly pleaded guilty to possessing both drugs with the intent to deliver earlier this year. Details on his arrest and the events leading up to it are not available.
Senior U.S. District Judge Joy Flowers Conti imposed the sentence and she emphasized the seriousness of Kelly’s actions and the harm it could have brought on the community.
