Alex Highsmith did not practice yesterday for the Steelers, resting his injured ankle. Coach Mike Tomlin said on Tuesday that Highsmith was “leaning in” on playing this Sunday against Cincinnati but sitting out practice is an indication that he won’t be ready.
Defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi was limited and Isaac Seumalo and Cam Heyward were given the day off for rest.
Defensive lineman Montravius Adams and cornerback Corey Trice were both full participants but are still not activated from injured reserve.
Quarterback Russell Wilson said the Steelers’ struggles offensively are obvious, especially in the red zone, but he feels they are ready to break out.
The Steelers have scored only once in their last six trips into the red zone, and rank 30th out of 32 teams in the NFL in red zone efficiency.
