Pitt guard Damian Dunn will miss at least six weeks after having surgery yesterday to repair a dislocated right thumb. He suffered the injury Sunday in the Panthers’ loss to Wisconsin. The transfer guard started the first seven games of the season, averaging 11.1 points per game and shooting 52.9 percent on three-point attempts.
Despite Sunday’s loss, Pitt has made its first appearance in the USA Today Top 25 Coaches Poll, coming in at number 25. They’re number 27 in this week’s AP Poll.
Pitt will play at Ohio State on Friday afternoon.
