After a pitiful homestand that featured two straight losses, the Penguins look to get back on track tonight when they take on the Columbus Blue Jackets on the road in the first of back-to-back games. Tomorrow night they’ll host San Jose at PPG Paints Arena.
Should Pittsburgh’s downward spiral continue, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman thinks the Pens could sell off several assets closer to the trade deadline. Friedman reports forward Drew O’Conner and defenseman Marcus Pettersson could be two names that are traded closer to the March 7th deadline. Pettersson especially could be a premier target as Friedman reports the cost of defensemen will be high this season.
Tonight’s game airs at 6:30 on U92.5 FM with puck drop following around 7:30.
