The Steelers were back at practice yesterday as they gear up to face the Ravens on Sunday in their first AFC North matchup of the season, but several key players sat out. Wide receiver Van Jefferson, running back Najee Harris, safety Donte Jackson, linebacker Alex Highsmith, and tight end MyCole Pruitt all missed practice with injuries, while lineman Isaac Seumalo and defensive tackle Cam Heyward were on a rest day.
Highsmith was already ruled out for Sunday’s game after suffering an ankle injury against Washington, while Jackson, who was also hurt in that game, is expected to play. Jefferson missed with a quad injury and Harris with an ankle. Their statuses are unknown.
Linebacker Patrick Queen met with reporters following practice to discuss the rivalry between the Steelers and Ravens, as he’ll now experience it from the other sideline. He said he’s had this game circled for a while.
Queen says he’s approaching this as any other game.
Sunday’s game kicks off at 1 on WDAD.
