Four Heritage Conference teams will be on the field tonight for the District 6 semifinals, with two of them playing each other. All three games will be on Renda Digital TV.
In Class A, number two seed Northern Cambria tangles with number six Penns Manor. The Colts beat the Comets 28-0 in their meeting on October 4th. Northern Cambria took out Portage in the first round last week while Penns Manor shut down Moshannon Valley.
Northern Cambria coach Sam Shutty says the Comets play a very tough brand of football.
Penns Manor coach Bill Packer opened up his offense last week against Mo Valley. He says the Comets have to play mistake-free football, unlike when they played the Colts last month.
The other Class A semifinal features top seed Bishop Guilfoyle against number five Claysburg-Kimmel.
In Class AA, the top-seeded Cambria Heights Highlanders will clash with number five Bellwood Antis. The Highlanders came from behind to beat McCort-Carroll last week while the Blue Devils walloped River Valley.
Cambria Heights coach Jarrod Lewis says Bellwood has a lot of firepower.
Bellwood Antis coach Nick Lovrich says his team has to do what it does best.
The other AA semifinal features the sixth-seeded Marion Center Stingers visiting number two Richland. The Stingers won a thriller in double-overtime over Mount Union last Friday while Richland ended United Valley’s season.
Stingers coach Adam Rising says his guys know what they’re in for against the Rams.
