The locker room was quiet after Monday night’s Steelers win over the Giants, but the front office was busy.
With the Steelers entering their bye week, the team made some roster moves, placing outside linebacker Ade Ogundeji on waivers from the active roster and cutting running back La’Michal Perine and cornerback Thomas Graham from the practice squad. Ogundeji will likely be re-signed to the practice squad as linebacker Nick Herbig is expected back from his hamstring injury in time for the next game on November 10th in Washington.
The team also worked out former Broncos and Jets wide receiver/return man Diontae Spencer yesterday. Spencer is a former Canadian Football League star who spent time with the Steelers in training camp in 2019.
The NFL announced yesterday that cornerback Cam Sutton has been reinstated after serving an eight-game suspension for a domestic violence case from last March while he was a member of the Detroit Lions.

Former Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson is back in the AFC North after the Carolina Panthers yesterday traded him to Baltimore, and it was a cheap deal for the Ravens. In return for Johnson and a sixth round draft choice, the Panthers get a fifth round draft pick. Johnson has 30 catches this season and three touchdowns.
