It was a good race Saturday for River Valley High School graduate Lexie Kepple and Penns Manor grad Savanna Orner, who run cross country for Westmoreland County Community College.
Running a challenging four-hill course in the La Roche College Invitational, Orner placed ninth overall in the 5K with a 26:17 while Kepple was just behind her, at 27:25.
Next up for Orner and Kepple and their WCCC teammates is the NJCAA Region 20 Championship meet, where the Wolfpack will try to qualify for the NJCAA National Championship.
