It’s the regular season finale tonight for the high school football season, with the district playoffs kicking off next week. There’s plenty of action tonight.
On 92.5 FM U92 and Renda Digital TV, undefeated Heritage Conference champion Cambria Heights takes its 9-0 record to 5-4 Penns Manor. After starting 5-1, the Comets have struggled in the second half of the season and have suffered three straight shutout losses. Coach Bill Packer says it doesn’t matter that it’s Cambria Heights tonight. They just need to play well.
Highlanders coach Jarrod Lewis says Penns Manor always cooks up something special for their offensive attack.
On WCCS and Renda Digital TV, 2-7 Homer-Center closes its season with a road trip to 4-5 Conemaugh Township. Wildcats coach Greg Page says Conemaugh Township is an improving program.
On Cat Country 106.3 FM, 7-2 River Valley looks to rebound from a disappointing loss to Northern Cambria last week with a game against winless West Shamokin. Panthers coach Jess Houser says the Wolves are young but hungry.
West Shamokin coach Phil Parks is looking for steady improvement.
