The WPIAL Triple-A girls soccer playoffs get underway today with 16th seed Indiana visiting number one seed Fox Chapel.
GOLF
The PIAA individual golf championship tournament begins today on the Penn State Blue Course. West Shamokin has three qualifiers teeing off today in the two-day 36-hole event: District 6 champion Alex Talmadge, Logan Geist and Gunnar Shoop. River Valley’s Jake Pynos and Jeremy Reed are also in the event.
The team competition begins Wednesday. West Shamokin is the only District 6 qualifier in the field.
