VOLLEYBALL
A key matchup to decide the Section title last night, and Indiana blew out Greensburg Salem, 3-0 to end the regular season as undefeated section champions. Paige Fisanich had 12 kills, 3 aces, and 6 digs. Stella Stossel had 8 kills. Allison Lichtenfels had 10 kills. Addie Stossel had 6 digs. Emily Ferraro had 4 blocks. Hannah Cowburn had 31 assists. Indiana finishes with a 12-0 Section record, 14-2 overall.
Tomorrow, the Road to the KCAC will decide the Heritage Conference volleyball championships. The semis feature West Shamokin against Conemaugh Township and Marion Center against Northern Cambria in best-of-three matches, followed by a five-setter for the title. We’ll be on the air on Renda Digital TV at 4:45.
JUNIOR HIGH FOOTBALL
Indiana Junior High football team lost their playoff game to Elizabeth Forward, 45-24. Indiana scored on a 24-yard touchdown pass from Anakan Powell to Charles Spells, a 15-yard pass from Ben Cowburn to Marlan Byars, and 80-yard kick return by Spells, and another kick return, 72 yards by Jace Brocious. Cowburn and Powell both had Interceptions. Domenic Mains had two sacks and Carter Augustine and Gabe Garzarelli each had a sack. Jahmir Reason blocked two extra point kicks.
