Three Indiana Senior High students recently received the 2024 Governor’s Gold Award for Civic Engagement.
Juniors Max Duffee, Wynston Farrington, and Charlie Weber were honored after setting up a non-partisan voter drive and voter education efforts at the high school. The award is presented to schools with at least 85 percent of eligible students registered to vote, and the trio register approximately 90.24 percent of eligible students at Indiana.
Superintendent Rob Heinrich lauded the three’s efforts in a statement on the district’s website and said the drive helped fulfill the district’s commitment to “preparing students to be productive citizens who positively impact society.”
