The big boys played for the Penguins in the Hockeyville game in Sudbury, Ontario, and they looked like they’re in top form already. Evgeni Malkin had the hat trick and Sidney Crosby scored two goals in a 5-2 win over Ottawa. Malkin’s third goal was an empty-netter late in the third period.
Tristan Jarry made his first appearance of the preseason and stopped 24 of 26 shots in over 31 minutes of ice time.
The Penguins will play the Red Wings tonight in Detroit, making up for the game they could not play Saturday because of airplane troubles.
