It was a big Saturday for IUP, with a 31-0 win over Clarion capping the Hall Of Fame Weekend, and it’s even bigger this week, as the 25th-ranked Crimson Hawks welcome number nine Slippery Rock to Miller Stadium for the Homecoming game. Slippery Rock led Edinboro 28-0 Saturday but had to hold off West Shamokin grad Bo Swartz and the Fighting Scots, 28-23.
Coach Paul Tortorella loved the big crowd for the Clarion game and hopes it’s just as enthusiastic for Homecoming.
Tortorella says IUP will need the fans Saturday against Slippery Rock.
