It is the start of the second half of the high school football season and the Week Six matchups in the Heritage Conference feature a highlight game between two 4-1 teams.
On 92.5 FM U92 and U92radio.com, Marion Center will host Northern Cambria, with both teams having just one loss, to undefeated Cambria Heights. Stingers coach Adam Rising says the Colts’ offense keys off their outstanding quarterback.
Northern Cambria coach Sam Shutty says Marion Center plays the game a lot like his own team.
On Cat Country 106.3 FM, once-beaten River Valley takes its four-game winning streak into a home game against 2-3 Purchase Line. Panthers coach Jess Houser says the Red Dragons are scrappy.
Coming off a 14-7 loss to Penns Manor, Purchase Line coach Matt Falisec says they need a win tonight.
Falisec says the Red Dragons will have to fight to stop a potent River Valley offense.
On WCCS and Renda Digital TV, a couple of winless teams look for a breakthrough win to begin the second half of the season when Homer-Center visits Conemaugh Valley. Wildcats’ coach Greg Page says his team has to focus on playing its own game.
Page says Homer-Center can’t afford to turn the ball over.
The other games in the Heritage Conference tonight include first place 5-0 Cambria Heights hosting 2-3 Portage, 4-1 Penns Manor welcoming 3-2 Conemaugh Township, and 2-3 United Valley traveling to winless West Shamokin.
The Indiana Total Therapy pregame show begins at 6:30 for Marion Center/Northern Cambria on U92, River Valley/Purchase Line on Cat Country 106.3 FM, and it’s a 6:15 airtime for Homer-Center/Conemaugh Valley on WCCS and Renda Digital TV.
