On Hawk Talk on 92.5 FM U92 and Renda Digital TV last night, IUP football coach Paul Tortorella talked about his team’s crushing 42-14 win over Millersville, a win with which he was not entirely happy, and looked forward to this week’s Hall of Fame Game against Clarion, which will be IUP’s first home game after three on the road to start the season.
Tortorella says there is no chance his team will be looking ahead to next week against Slippery Rock. He says IUP looks at it as “ten one-game seasons instead of one ten-game season.”
The coach says Clarion plays a tough defensive game and a “different” offensive system.
Tortorella also says he is looking forward this week to the return of several players who have been out with injury. He did not say if starting quarterback Karst Hunter will be able to play after missing last Saturday’s win over Millersville.
