NFL Network’s Ian Rappaport reports today that Steelers rookie first round draft choice Troy Fautanu is out for the rest of the regular season with a knee injury suffered in practice on Friday.
Rappaport says Fautanu suffered a dislocated kneecap and ligament damage and will need surgery. He says he’s been told the rookie could return for the playoffs if the Steelers make it. The Steelers placed Fautanu on the four-game injured reserve list on Saturday.
Broderick Jones becomes the Steelers starting right tackle by default.
