One of the main concerns with the Trump rally is the security that will be in place for rallygoers and for the former President after an attempted assassination in Butler County and recent events in Florida.
Today’s rally marks the fifth appearance in Pennsylvania for former President Trump since the incident at the Butler Farm Show grounds. After the rally was announced, State police confirmed they are working with the Secret Service on the security detail. We talked with Indiana county District Attorney Robert Manzi and while he wouldn’t go into detail on the security plans, he did say that the event is being taken seriously.
Over the weekend, Indiana Borough Police put out a statement asking citizens to help where and when they can from giving recommendations on where to eat to reporting anything suspicious to police. He added that there will be an increased police presence, both seen and unseen, in the borough today and will have support from their partners, and in turn, will support them in their work.
