With traffic and parking expected to be a major concern with the Trump rally in Indiana on Monday, there is guidance being offered on both.
Ticket holders for the rally at the KCAC will be directed to park at Mack Park and the Indiana County Fairgrounds, utilizing Gates Two and Three, near the old BiLo and S&T Bank location off Wayne Avenue. Those gates will open at 10 AM and drivers must enter the area at the traffic light, not by shortcutting across the former BiLo parking lot. All other Mack Park entry points will be closed to the public. Traffic arriving before 10 AM will be turned away. Pedestrians headed to the KCAC will exit Mack Park at Gate Two.
Motorists are also asked to avoid using Hospital Road and South Sixth Street to allow access to IRMC for emergency vehicles, patients and staff. Unauthorized parked vehicles on IRMC property may be towed.
In a separate release, IUP has issued more information for tomorrow’s event. No rally event parking will be permitted on campus; Pratt Drive adjacent to the KCAC will be closed to traffic. The Miller Stadium South Parking Lot will be closed but the stadium’s North parking Lot will be available IUP for permit parking only, coming off South 11th Street.
Pedestrian foot traffic will also be restricted.
