The Homer-Center School Board will meet tonight and on the proposed agenda is the issue of River Valley’s departure from ICTC.
Indiana, Purchase Line, Penns Manor and United School Districts have already passed resolutions to deny the request of River Valley to leave the ICTC, with some citing the financial impact it would have on their districts and others saying it would restrict educational opportunities for students. Marion Center plans to vote on the resolution at next Monday’s meeting.
The board will also have the second reading and approval of 30 policies ranging from weapons and tobacco and vaping products to hazing to bullying. The board will also consider approving the yearly evaluation of Superintendent Ralph Cecere.
The meeting starts at 7:30 in the district board room.
