Quarterback Eli Holstein completed 21 of 30 passes for 301 yards and three touchdowns, leading a rally from ten points down in the fourth quarter to beat West Virginia in the Backyard Brawl, 38-34.
Backup running back Derrick Davis Jr., subbing for injured starter Desmond Reid, powered his way into the end zone for a one-yard touchdown run in the final minute for the game-winning score.
Pitt (3-0) will host Youngstown State next Saturday afternoon.
