The Steelers Injury Report update issued Friday shows that normal starting quarterback Russell Wilson will be “questionable” for Sunday’s game in Denver against the Broncos. Justin Fields is expected to start this week. He had a good showing in Atlanta in his first game, and Coach Mike Tomlin said they have been preparing all week for the eventuality that Wilson would be out. Wilson says he is getting closer to coming back to the lineup, but is playing it smart and not rushing things.
Wide receiver Roman Wilson has also been ruled questionable as well as he continues to rehab from an ankle injury, and Guard Issac Semaulo is out with a pectoral injury. Meanwhile, Denver has one player on the injured list. That is wide receiver Devaughn Vele, who is out with injured ribs.
The Steelers play the Broncos tomorrow afternoon starting at 2:25 with the pre-game show on WDAD.
