The Penguins’ top prospects will see some game action starting today when they take part in the Buffalo Sabres Prospect Challenge. The young Pens will play the Boston Bruins’ prospects at noon today. They’ll play the Ottawa Senators’ prospects at noon tomorrow, then have Sunday off before finishing up against the Sabres’ prospects on Monday at 5.
Second round draft choice Tanner Howe will miss the Challenge due to a facial injury. He somehow lost some teeth this week.
The Penguins yesterday announced their training camp schedule. They will open camp at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex next Wednesday. All non-gameday practices are free and open to the public. You can see the camp schedule with this story on our website. The first exhibition game is next Saturday, September 21st at Buffalo.
