Indiana native and former IUP athletic director Steve Roach was named the new Deputy Director of Athletics at Elon University earlier this week.
Roach will help develop strategies to increase revenue, as well as implementing strategic planning and goal setting efforts, increasing exposure for the athletic department, enhancing staff development, supervising programs, and developing engagement opportunities.
Roach worked at IUP from 2013-18, starting as the associate director of athletics then being named Athletic Director in 2015. He helped oversee a $2.5 million renovation project at George P. Miller Stadium and was the PSAC baseball liaison.
