River Valley’s girls golfers trimmed Indiana, 214-239, at the Indiana Country Club. The Panthers’ Maren Dunlap was medalist with a 48. Alessia LaMantia shot a 50, Madigan Dunlap a 55, and Ashley Pynos a 61. For Indiana. Izabella Slagle shot a 55, Laken Kugler a 58, Lelise Allison a 62 and Bella Donatelli a 64.
River Valley is 12-0 this season.
TENNIS
At the WPIAL girls tennis singles Sectional at the White Township Recreation Complex yesterday, Indiana’s Gabby Sharp and Eve Kuzneski both fell to Hampton’s Grace Stitt.
In the first round, Sharp beat Knoch’s Alana Moroney 10-7 and Kuzneski shut out Natalie Dickerson of Highlands, 10-0. Sharp went down, 10-0 to Stitt in the quarters while Kuzneski doubled up Allegra Scaringi of the Ellis School, 10-5. Kuzneski then gave Stitt a battle in the semifinal, falling in a three-setter, 6-2, 5-7, 6-0.
SOCCER
In girls soccer, Indiana and West Mifflin tied, 1-1.
CROSS COUNTRY
In a cross country meet at United yesterday, both the United boys and girls topped the scoring, beating Homer-Center, West Shamokin, Ferndale, and the Johnstown Christian School.
