Penns Manor and Northern Cambria remained unbeaten, while Purchase Line picked up its first win to highlight Week 3 of the high school football season on Friday night.
Penns Manor prevailed over Homer-Center in a 42-24 battle. Early on, the only thing that stopped the Comets was the Comets, as Homer-Center capitalized on two fumbles and jumped out to a 10-0 lead thanks to an 82-yard Braden Dunn to Riley Cobaugh touchdown pass, and a 46-yard Brady Frazier field goal. It was all Penns Manor from that point forward as the Comets raced back to take a 26-24 halftime lead, and then added 16 points in the second half while blanking the Wildcats.
