Week Three of the high school football season has arrived and that means four more games tonight on our Renda Media stations, two of them on Renda Digital TV, and there is bonus coverage tomorrow on RDTV.
Tonight’s action includes 0-2 Homer-Center hitting the road to play 2-0 Penns Manor on WCCS and Renda Digital TV. Wildcats coach Greg Page is impressed – and concerned – with the Comets’ passing game, led by Amin Lieb.
Penns Manor coach Billy Packer says they’re fully aware of Homer-Center’s ability.
Packer’s roster is depleted by injury and low overall numbers, so one of his keys is ball control.
On Cat Country 106.3 FM, a couple of 1-1 football teams meet as River Valley hosts Portage at their new stadium. Coach Jess Houser is excited to open the Panthers’ new home.
Portage coach Marty Slanoc says River Valley’s run game is worrisome.
On 92.5 FM U92, Purchase Line and West Shamokin are both seeking win number one at PL. Red Dragons coach Matt Falisec is hoping for better luck against the Wolves after starting the season on the road against two of the Heritage Conference’s best, Northern Cambria and Cambria Heights.
West Shamokin’s Phil Parks says his young team has to trust the process and keep working.
The other games in the Heritage Conference tonight are 1-1 United Valley welcoming 1-1 Conemagh Township and 2-0 Northern Cambria visiting 0-2 Conemaugh Valley.
In a Saturday night game, two undefeated teams do battle when Cambria Heights visits Marion Center. That one will be on Renda Digital TV, available at any of our Renda Media websites.
All of tonight’s Renda Media games begin with the Indiana Total Therapy Pregame Show at 6:30, with the exception of Homer-Center at Penns Manor, which begins at 6:20.
