BOYS GOLF
Make it seven consecutive wins for the Indiana boys, who beat Hempfield, 194-229, yesterday at the Indiana Country Club. Austin Schawl fired a 37 to earn medalist honors, with Ryan Bell one shot back and Drew Brocious and Caden Force each shooting 39. Chace Force had a 41.
Indiana is 9-2 overall and 6-1 in their Section and will host undefeated Latrobe today at the country club. Latrobe handed Indiana their only Section loss, by eight strokes, earlier in the season at the Latrobe Country Club.
GIRLS GOLF
Indiana’s girls golfers hosted a tri-match at the Indiana Country Club yesterday, falling to Fox Chapel and Latrobe. Fox Chapel shot a combined 174, Latrobe a 212, and Indiana a 230.
Three Fox Chapel golfers shared medalist honors. Ava Clandra, Clara Koteski, and Gabby Devita all shot 42. For Indiana, Izabella Slagle led the way with a 50. Liliana Manzo had a 56 and Laken Kugler a 59.
GIRLS SOCCER
Reilly Weaver scored both goals for Franklin Regional in a 2-0 shutout of Indiana, which fell to 1-4 on the season, 1-1 in Section.
