Pitt quarterback Eli Holstein looked very comfortable taking the snaps Saturday against Kent State, completing 30 of 40 passes for 336 yards and three touchdowns, but the competition – and the pressure – picks up this Saturday when the Panthers visit Cincinnati. Pitt lost last year’s game, 27-23 and has lost three in a row and five of its last six games against the Bearcats. Cincinnati beat Towson on Saturday, 38-20.
Coach Pat Narduzzi says there is a lot to improve on, but he was happy to get off to a good start.
Saturday’s game kicks off at noon on WCCS.
