A Coral man will serve some jail time for a case of aggravated assault.
46-year-old Charles Livingston, Jr. was sentenced on Friday in Indiana County Court for three different cases. In the aggravated assault case, Indiana Borough Police reported on August 2nd that he confronted someone at a home in the 400 block Water Street over a prior issue. While he brandished a knife in the attack, the victim avoided contact with it, but was still struck by Livingston. Charges of terroristic threats, and possession of an instrument of crime were not prosecuted as part of a plea deal. He was ordered to serve nine months to a day less than two years in Indiana County Jail and will serve two years of probation upon his release.
The other cases were for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, for which he was sentenced to the same term of jail time and three years of probation. He was also given a year of probation for a charge of accidents involving damage to an attended vehicle.
The sentences will run concurrently.
