It’s Week Two of the high school football season, and there are four games on our Renda Media stations tonight.
On WCCS and Renda Digital TV, Homer-Center welcomes Marion Center to Memorial Stadium. The Wildcats look to rebound from their loss last week to United Valley while the Stingers beat Portage in Week One. Homer-Center coach Greg Page knows Marion Center will be tough.
Marion Center coach Adam Rising says he looks for his offense to improve its consistency.
Rising wants sustained, time-consuming drives from his offense.
On 92.5 FM U92, it’s a good matchup of two top contenders when Northern Cambria visits United Valley. Both teams are coming off wins last week.
Lions coach Lou McElwee says his team loves playing football and plays it well.
The Colts’ Sam Shutty says his team will need to be on its game from the start, because United Valley reloaded quickly after graduation took some good players from last year’s playoff team.
Cat Country 106.3 FM has an intriguing battle when River Valley tries to bounce back from last week’s loss to Cambria Heights, taking on Conemaugh Township, which won its first game last week over West Shamokin after not winning any games last season.
River Valley coach Jess Houser says his Panthers’ defense needs to communicate better this week.
Indians coach Brandon Studer says his players need to stay hydrated in the hot, muggy weather.
The other Heritage Conference games tonight include 1-0 Penns Manor traveling to 0-1 West Shamokin, 0-1 Purchase Line visiting powerful 1-0 Cambria Heights, and Conemaugh Valley at Portage, where both teams are looking for their first win.
On WDAD and Renda Digital TV tonight, Indiana welcomes Ringgold to Andy Kuzneski Field. The Rams lost to South Allegheny last week while Indiana dropped its opener against Freeport.
Indiana coach Brad Wright says Ringgold has an explosive offense and his defense will need to be solid.
All of the Indiana Total Therapy pregames begin at 6:30 tonight, with the exception of Homer-Center/Marion Center on WCCS, which airs at 6:20.
